📱 Do I need to download the app to use StoryPhones?
Nope — you don’t need the app to enjoy StoryShields! Just snap on a StoryShield and start listening instantly
That said, the StoryPhones app gives you some great extras:

It’s totally optional — but pretty handy for parents!
📶 Can StoryPhones connect via Wi-Fi?
Yes, they can!
Wi-Fi is only needed when setting up the app or updating content on your PlayShield. After that, everything works offline — perfect for travel!
Please note: StoryPhones must connect to a 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network. They are not compatible with 5 GHz networks.
